Kings is hiring a lab technician to work in a school science department to help us deliver high-quality and engaging science practical experiments. Top-quality science teaching can only take place with a reliable lab technician and we are looking for a strong candidate to join our elite teaching team.

The successful applicant for this post will be expected to:

• Be responsible for receiving orders from teachers for lab experiments. They will prepare all necessary equipment and materials, accurately prepared in accordance with the experiment request and delivered on time. After experiments, they will be responsible for cleaning the equipment and disposing of the waste safely.
• Be responsible for maintaining the inventory and ordering materials as needed.
• Be responsible for scheduling the repair/servicing of equipment as needed.
• Take part in the science department and school meetings as necessary.
• Depending on the candidate’s experience, they may be involved in assisting students and teachers in the experiments.
• The expectation is that this will all be performed in compliance with local safety regulations and school safety procedures.
• Help teachers in experiments, covering lessons
• Ensure that all work is delivered in line with the departmental schemes of work and school policies
• To keep work areas tidy and well organised
• Participate in relevant trainings and professional development
• To support the school's aims and objectives for teaching and learning
• Keep work areas tidy and well organised.

• This will cover all science disciplines – combined sciences, chemistry, physics, and biology.
• We are looking for a lab technician who is capable of safely working with science equipment and chemicals.
• Opportunity to work with local and international educators communicating in English and Albanian.
• The successful candidate will be an organised individual with good communication skills, a flexible, problem-solving attitude, and outstanding attention to detail.
• The candidate will have a science degree and/or background working in a science lab.
• Their line manager will be the Head of Science.
